How the 14,603-study database distributes across condition research areas. Ordered by the number of indexed studies, a neutral bibliographic measure.
Categories are assigned from each study's indexing terms and title. A large category means a heavily researched area, not a proven indication: some of the most-studied topics remain investigational, and some recognised indications have compact but decisive literatures. Use the conditions reference for the clinical evidence behind any category.
Research volume is not effectiveness, and this is not a ranking of "best" uses. A category with many indexed studies may have mixed or inconclusive findings; a category with few studies may have strong consensus in a small evidence base. Categories marked Investigational are uses where HBOT is not an established, recognised indication, and research volume there is not a basis for seeking treatment.
