What Researchers Did
Researchers reported a case of a 62-year-old male with radiation-induced macular ischaemia treated with hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
What They Found
They found that a patient's vision improved from 20/400 to 20/100 and central macular thickness from 468 µm to 132 µm after focal laser and intravitreal triamcinolone. Following hyperbaric oxygen therapy, the patient's visual acuity further improved to 20/50, and fluorescein angiography showed improved macular perfusion.

Study Limitations
The primary limitation of this study is that it reports only a single case, limiting the generalizability of the findings.
